realizing a need for resurgence [both in art and feeling]
an artificial safety net has been cast
by the desperate fisherman
whose only wish is a life
filled with memories planned.

the failed venture sheds light
onto more flailings
more stumblings into the shadow
of misfortune and ends delight.

the need for archival
of these failed memories
is superceded by the desire
of an ideal.

with a coy smile
turns a cold sneer.
the sadness of a banished
musketeer.

a love so french. it wished
that it didn't know it was going
to retreat. it was sad and warm.
the beauty of the embers soon to
be the death in the ash.

photography is an ideal death.
its memory is not as as sharp as mine.
i remember the lull in your voice
as it pulled me in. the undercurrent
of the chime of your laugh as i fell.
again.

i will now trudge
through the snow that now looks
an awful lot like the burial remains
of an urn.

[rave]nous taste

and all at once he awoke with a jerking start. awoke from a dream. brought back to life, although he couldn't quite recall the details. he did remember that in it he had had a feeling that could only be described as nervous excitement. if this was for good or ill was to soon be determined. unfortunately he had more pressing matters to attend at the moment. he had awoken in a pool of blood. realizing his entire body was numb, and apart from his head, being completely wrapped up in a sticky cloth, he could not ascertain if the blood was from wounds he had incurred himself; or if it was the blood of some phantom gone to die alone. surely to die, there was quite a mess of blood. clarity was slowly coming back, and he remembered with fondness a time when one did not have need to worry of some terror coming in the night to steal the few bits of sleep he thought himself entitled to...

there seemed to be a concentration of blood in five specific areas of his body, which he noticed while trying to get off the sticky shroud enveloping him. at first it was a struggle to move. a battle of the mind, his will pitted against the cold hard fact that lack of circulation in the body makes moving nearly impossible. slowly he recovered and realized the five areas of interest were each his ankles, both wrists and the neck. wondering if some significance could be attributed to this fact he quickly threw off the thin bloody sheet, drenched.

with the barrier that had been seperating his eyes from his body now gone, he inspected closely and found a huge scar running the length of his torso, starting just under his left armpit and traveling all the way to his right hip. a huge slash. completely healed, with the scar to remind himself of this brutal clash with his own mortality. there had been a small gash, perpendicular to his old wound, which was still bleeding ever so slightly. but that was the only blood that was his, all the rest unclaimed thus far. there was a time not too long ago when such a spectacle would have roused frightened alarm from him, but not anymore.

worth the wait

the song on here is pretty sweet. admittedly pretty rough at times, its got a killer hook. at times its reminscent of silence (french ambient band). heavy on the electros/drums masterfully transitions. etc. enjoy. if you want the dl link let me know. and about 1.5 mins in after the slow bit  is pretty stellar. pretty gnarly. i wish ida had this at halloween...

lol. not very christmas--y. which is why i think i'm a lil put off by the harshness of it. but it manages to be something fun to listen to and see what will happen.

Noah takes a photo of himself every day for 6 years.

This is actually really cool. Music by Carly Comando. Title of Song/Piece "Everyday". Dude takes a pic of himself everyday for 6.5 years. At first I thought it was just one of those lil quirky cool things you find on the internet. Watch a guy age before you eyes! bs. Its actually a bit deeper. Theres a story. Not just in the lines in the face. Where he is. Whose in the background. Its good.

welcome to those of you just joining [rejoining] Xanga.
